Find each other, keep your number
You never need a phone number or an email address to use JijiTalk, and the app never uploads your contacts.
Sign in with Apple
Create an account in a couple of taps. You choose the name people see, and you can change it any time.
@handles and QR codes
Pick a unique @handle. Share it, or let a friend scan your QR code to find you.
Chat requests
Strangers can only send you a request, and they can’t message you until you accept. Requests wait at the top of Chats. Decline or block whenever you like.
Circles: closeness decides who reaches you
Put each person in a circle. Your circle settings decide who can call you, who sees your read receipts and typing, and whose messages still reach you in a Focus.

Private by design
Your conversations and calls are protected end to end, and the smart features run on your iPhone.
End-to-end encrypted chats
One-to-one and group chats, including photos, videos and voice messages, are end-to-end encrypted with the open Matrix protocol (Olm and Megolm). We can’t read them.
Voice and video calls
One-to-one calls go peer to peer over encrypted WebRTC and ring even when the app is closed. Your circles decide who is allowed to ring you, and the Calls tab keeps your call history.
Encrypted key backup
Your message keys are backed up in encrypted form, protected by a recovery key only you hold. Use it to bring your chats to a new iPhone.
On-device AI
“Catch up” summaries and reply suggestions use Apple’s on-device model on supported iPhones. Your messages never leave your phone for this.
Read receipts, your call
Choose which Circles see your read receipts, or switch them off completely in Settings.
Reply Later
Not the right moment? Set a reminder to come back to a message. Reminders stay on your device.
Small things that feel close
Optional touches that keep your people present, without the noise.
Halos
Photo or text updates that disappear after 24 hours. Photos are encrypted before they’re uploaded, and you can see who has seen yours.
Vibe
An emoji and a short status that tell friends how you’re doing.
Soundtrack
Optional. Shows the Apple Music song you’re playing. Off until you turn it on.
In Sync
A little moment when you and a friend are playing the same song.
Ripple
A playful buzz that says “thinking of you” without typing a word.
Warmth
A gentle on-device hint of how recently you and a friend have talked, so nobody drifts away.
