Holdwire · SSH That Never Drops

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 27 October 2026 · Holdwire by Jiji Labs · PT JIJI LABS DIGITAL

The short version:

  • No account and no sign-in. Holdwire never asks for your name, email or phone number.
  • No Holdwire server: your iPhone connects directly to your own servers over SSH.
  • Private keys and passwords stay in the Keychain on your iPhone and are never sent to us.
  • No analytics, no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. Apple processes subscription payments.

1. Who we are

Holdwire (“Holdwire”, “the app”) is an SSH terminal app for iPhone (iOS 27 or later), made by Jiji Labs and published by PT JIJI LABS DIGITAL, a company established in Indonesia (Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah) (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@jijilabsdigital.com.

2. What we collect

Through the app, we collect nothing. Holdwire has:

3. Information on your iPhone

The app stores on your iPhone: your servers (names, addresses, ports, usernames, groups and favourites), the identity (host key) of each server you chose to trust, your snippets and settings, and a copy of each open session's recent output so the screen can be shown at once when you return. If command suggestions are on, commands you ran are kept on this iPhone only, to suggest them again; you can turn this off and clear it in Settings. Commands typed at hidden prompts, such as passwords, are not kept.

4. Keys and passwords

Private keys and saved passwords are stored in the iPhone Keychain, available only on this device, and are never sent to us. Keys created in the Secure Enclave cannot be exported at all. When you install a key on a server, only the public key is sent, to that server.

5. Your servers and the session keeper

Holdwire connects directly from your iPhone to the servers you add, using SSH, which encrypts the connection. To keep sessions alive, Holdwire copies a small program, holdwired, into ~/.holdwire in your home folder on each server where you keep sessions alive. It runs as your own user and keeps your shell and its most recent output (up to 1 MB per session) in memory on that server. It sends nothing anywhere except back to your iPhone over your SSH connection. A session ends when its shell exits, when you end it, or after 7 days without a connection. You can switch this off per server (“Keep sessions alive”) and remove it by deleting ~/.holdwire.

6. Permissions

7. The on-device assistant

The assistant (Holdwire Pro) uses Apple's on-device language model. The question you ask and recent terminal text are processed on your iPhone and are not sent to us or to any server. The assistant can type a suggested command for you to review; it never presses Return or runs anything itself.

8. Subscription and payments

Holdwire is free to download, with an optional Holdwire Pro auto-renewing subscription. Apple processes all payments: we never receive your payment-card details or Apple Account credentials. The app uses StoreKit purchase information on your device to unlock Pro and to restore purchases. See the Terms of Use.

9. No ads, no tracking, no sharing

Holdwire contains no advertising or analytics and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell or share your data, because we do not collect it.

10. Keeping and deleting data

Your data stays on your iPhone until you remove it. Deleting the app deletes it, including keys created in the app; keep another way into your servers before you do. Session keepers on your servers can be removed as described in section 5. We cannot delete data for you, because we never hold a copy.

11. If you email us

If you contact support, we receive the contact details and information you choose to send. Never send private keys, passwords or server addresses you want to keep private. We use correspondence only to respond to you, and you may ask us to delete it.

12. Children

Holdwire is a tool for people who manage computers and servers and is not directed at children.

13. Changes

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date above identifies this version.
