Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your use of Holdwire (“the app”), made by Jiji Labs and published by PT JIJI LABS DIGITAL (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your licence of the app.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Holdwire on Apple devices you own or control, under the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple's Standard EULA. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app or the session keeper, except as the law allows.

3. Your servers

Use Holdwire only with servers you own or are allowed to access. You are responsible for what you run on them. When “Keep sessions alive” is on for a server, the app installs the session keeper holdwired in ~/.holdwire on that server under your account, as described in the Privacy Policy; you can turn this off per server and remove it at any time.

4. Free use and Holdwire Pro

The free version includes every feature, with sessions kept alive on one server. Holdwire Pro is an optional paid subscription that keeps sessions alive on every server and adds the on-device assistant. Features may change over time.

5. Holdwire Pro subscription

Plans and price: Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. The price in your currency is shown in the app before you confirm.
Payment: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Renewal: the subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage and cancel: any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Refunds: payments are handled by Apple, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Restore: open Holdwire Pro in the app and tap Restore Purchases.

6. Your data and privacy

Your servers, keys and sessions stay on your iPhone and your own servers. Please read our Privacy Policy.

7. Security

Check a server's fingerprint before you trust it, keep your iPhone locked, and turn on the app lock if others use your phone. Holdwire warns you when a server's identity changes; only continue if you know why.

8. Open-source components

The app uses open-source software under its own licences: SwiftNIO, SwiftNIO SSH, SwiftNIO Transport Services and Swift Crypto (Apache 2.0), and SwiftTerm (MIT). The session keeper uses creack/pty (MIT).

9. Disclaimer and liability

Holdwire is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. A session cannot survive the server itself restarting, the shell exiting, or the session keeper being stopped or removed; sessions also end after 7 days without a connection. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, subject to any mandatory consumer rights where you live.
