TRACE · Places & Spending

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 20 October 2026 · TRACE by Ilyas A. Almadani · PT Jiji Labs Digital

The short version:

  • No account and no sign-in. TRACE never asks for your name, email or phone number.
  • No analytics, no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDKs.
  • TRACE has no server. Your places, journeys and spending stay on your iPhone.
  • Apple processes subscription payments; we never see your card details.

1. Who we are

TRACE (“TRACE”, “the app”) is made by Ilyas A. Almadani and published by PT JIJI LABS DIGITAL, a company established in Indonesia (Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah) (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@jijilabsdigital.com.

2. What we collect

Through the app, we collect nothing. TRACE has:

3. Information processed on your iPhone

TRACE processes the records you create or choose to import: expense titles, amounts, currencies, categories, dates, merchants, place names and their coordinates; saved places and visits; journey times, recorded route points, distance and motion-based journey summaries. It also keeps preferences, recent-location information, learned labels and review choices used to organize your records. All of this stays in TRACE’s local storage on your iPhone. We cannot see it or access it.

4. Location and motion

With your iOS permissions, TRACE uses location for place memory and journey recording, including background location when permitted and enabled. Motion activity helps detect automatic journeys and adjust recording. Recording depends on your permissions, settings, signal and iOS availability; a complete route is not guaranteed. You can stop recording, control automatic journeys and change location or Motion & Fitness access in iPhone Settings.

Apple services receive coordinates for place-name lookups and map requests. Opening a place in Apple Maps also passes the selected location and place information to Apple Maps. These services operate under Apple’s privacy practices.

5. Receipts, statements and financial records

Financial records come from information you enter or files and receipt images you select. Receipt text recognition, PDF reading and supported statement parsing run on your iPhone. You review imported information before saving it. TRACE has no bank connection and cannot automatically access every bank, e-wallet, QRIS or Apple Pay transaction. A password entered for a protected statement is used to open that import, not to sign in to your bank.

6. Storage, export, backup and restore

Saved records are stored in TRACE’s local app container. TRACE does not provide its own cloud synchronization service. Depending on your device settings, iOS may include app data in iCloud or computer device backups.

You can export your spending and create a record backup from the privacy controls. Exported files are not encrypted by TRACE. You choose where to save or share them, including any cloud storage or other app offered by iOS, and that destination may process the files under its own policies. Keep backups private and secure.

7. Notifications

If you enable them, TRACE schedules local reminders, check-ins and summaries on your iPhone. Notifications may show record counts or spending information on the lock screen. You control notifications and previews in iPhone Settings and the reminder controls in TRACE.

8. Subscription and payments

TRACE is free to use, with an optional TRACE Pro monthly auto-renewing subscription. Apple processes all payments: we never receive your payment-card details or Apple ID credentials. TRACE uses StoreKit product and verified transaction information on your iPhone to determine Pro access and to restore purchases. We do not send your saved records or purchase information to a TRACE server. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple ID account settings; see the Terms of Use.

9. No ads, no tracking, no sharing

TRACE does not include an analytics, advertising or third-party crash-reporting SDK. We do not sell or share your data, because we do not collect it. This does not prevent the Apple service requests, device backups or exports described above.

10. Keeping and deleting data

Saved records remain in TRACE until you delete them. Stopping recording or ending a Pro subscription does not delete, hide or make existing records inaccessible. In TRACE’s privacy controls you can delete your local data, which removes saved expenses, places, journeys, visits and learned data from this iPhone, and clears TRACE’s pending and delivered notifications. You can also delete the app to remove everything it stores.

Deleting data in TRACE does not remove files you exported, copies held by other apps, earlier device backups, support correspondence or Apple’s purchase records. Manage those copies with the relevant service.

11. If you email us

If you contact support, we receive the contact details and information you choose to send, and email providers process those messages. Share only what is needed; do not send passwords, payment-card details or unredacted location histories and financial documents. We use correspondence only to respond to your request, and you may ask us to delete it.

12. Children

TRACE is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

13. Security

TRACE uses the iOS app container and device data-protection mechanisms. These measures do not guarantee against device loss, unauthorized access or every storage failure. Protect your iPhone with a passcode, keep iOS current and keep private backups.

14. Changes

This policy may be updated as TRACE changes. The effective date above identifies this version. It covers the TRACE app and this page.
